Joseph Gordon-Levitt - “Yes, I’m Your Angel” (Yoko Ono Cover)
There’ll probably be better audio/video later, so here’s this for now. JGL opened the second half of tonight’s (October 2nd) concert (gathering from people’s comments around me, they didn’t know he was performing) and did a cute little number, complete with a suit & bowtie, dancing, and two background dancers dressed up as angels.
I got a little too drunk last night but I had so much fun! I saw a bunch of old friends I haven’t seen in forever. Don’t you just love that feeling when some one’s so happy to see you their hug lifts you off the ground? I miss that. I haven’t felt missed in some time. Anyways I might still be drunk so I’ll move off of depressing to more interesting matters. For me at least. I might have met a boy last night. He called me breathtaking. Not pretty or cute or beautiful. Breathtaking. Now, I’m not usually one for cheese but this guy has to get some credit for not being like every other guy out there. Lately, the only people that approach me are old or creepy but dudes got some potential. He seems fairley normal and he’s cute so now we just see if he calls. Now i need to go find something really greasy to eat.
This time last year, I was in a hospital with a very close family friend visiting her newborn daughter in the NICU. On February 17th, 2010 Leila Lorraine was born a perfectly healthy baby. A day later, we found out she had some ridiculously long and difficult to pronounce disorder. Basically, there was a lack of oxygen getting to her brain and there was severe brain damage. Leila was put on a breathing tube and a feeding tube. We were told that there was a very good chance that she wasn’t going to make it and that, if she did, she would almost definitely be a vegetable. It was a very long and difficult couple of weeks but after about a month, Leila started to blow the doctors minds. Today we celebrated Leila’s first birthday and, even though her development is a couple of months behind where she should be, she is a perfectly normal, happy baby. She is progressing way past what we were told and expected. She proved everyone wrong. We call Leila our miracle baby and I am so happy every day that I get to see a smile on her face. Happy Birthday Princess! I love you so much. <3
